Discovering Start-ups

If you are a new start-up or small company looking to take your business forward, this initiative is for you. Discovering Start-Ups is designed to assist technology companies.

Perhaps, you need to raise money but don't know where to go and what to ask for. Cambridge Wireless is providing master classes that include a fund raising and investment strategies event, a business model day, workshops in networking, presentations and pitching and links into our network of industry leaders. At the heart of the programme is a competition with cash prizes for the best companies in five categories. These are:

1.Green radio

Innovative software or hardware or services in communication technologies, which demonstrate a real 'green benefit'.

2. Wireless health and wellness innovations

This is for those who want to enhance the end-users' life experiences. If you have innovative solutions related to health or age, enter in this category.

3. Hot applications and services

Innovative software or hardware or services based on application of a technology that provides a new or enhanced user experience. It might include solutions for multiple mobile users, ad hoc networking, location or mobile games.

4. Emerging disruptive ideas

Innovative software or hardware or services in an area that hasn't been seen before, an adaption of an idea into a new domain or a solution that may just change the way we use technology.

5. Technology design

Have a brand new design that can be commercialised? This category is for those who want to showcase their expertise in the design field - so tell us what your design is and what makes it great.
