Senior Infrastructure and Systems Engineer to £27.5k on experience and certification

P1 is a vibrant company based in Cringleford, just outside of Norwich. We are a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Systems Integrator and Managed Services provider. Over the last five years we have grown our client base through a combination of great people, excellent service and deep commercial & technical knowledge.

Reporting to the Infrastructure and Service Management Team Lead you will be a productive member of the team with a role that ranges from support to implementation.

You will:

• Respond to and resolve 2nd and 3rd line support calls raised by internal staff and managed service clients in a timely manner, recording all actions and elapsed time in the Service Management System
• Carry out proactive server health checking across our client's server inventory
• Attend client sites where remote support is not possible or practical
• Assist in the deployment of infrastructure and server system implementation projects
• Ensure all changes to client networks are documented in the clients technical documentation or server change log
• Aid in the achievement and maintenance of Microsoft Gold Partner status through attainment of relevant MS certification

Expected Technical Knowledge

• Deployment and support of Microsoft Windows Server 2000, 2003, 2008 (All Editions)
• Deployment and support of Terminal Services / Citrix
• Thorough working knowledge of the following Microsoft technologies; Active Directory, Exchange Server, ISA Server, SQL server
• Thorough working knowledge of the following networking services and concepts; DNS, DHCP, WINS, Subnetting, routing, firewalling, VPNs, clustering

As a senior team member you'll be expected to have at least three years of experience in the technologies listed above.

Desired Certification

Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional (MCITP)
