Matthew Margereson: sweet success

Before joining Hotel Chocolat Matthew owned the multi-million pound company “Pioneering Foods Group” based in Holt in Norfolk. From MBO of a frozen food company through acquisition of a food manufacturing facility he believed that he’d faced most of the challenges that SME ownership could bring especially with major multiple supply relationships to maintain. Hotel Chocolat, a multi channel brand with great innovation and products, massive growth potential and a great team was an opportunity that he wasn’t prepared to miss – it was by no means going to be an “easy ride” though. Now, two years later, does he regret the decision? Matthew will share the challenges and results with us and let us draw our own conclusions.
