NORFOLK NETWORK WEBINAR
Turning Footsteps into Forests
For this month’s ‘bright idea’ webinar, we were delighted to present the team behind the exciting startup Treekly.
Treekly is the app that turns footsteps into forests.
It was created to do two things: fight climate change and get people moving.
The app challenges people to walk 5000 steps in a day, five times a week. As a reward Treekly plants mangrove trees in Madagascar. It’s an area badly affected by deforestation, so every step Treekly users take, is a step toward repairing forests and building up communities.
By the time of this event, Treekly will have launched their MVP. They’ll share the topsy-turvy joys of their first year and their next ‘steps’.
We heard about their go-to-market strategy, financing and vision for rapid growth. They demoed the technology and features such as ‘Step Leagues’ that introduced some healthy competition into walking.
