Using the past to inspire the Future with Richard Powell OBE
The History of the Advertising Trust (HAT) is the largest archive of UK advertising in the world and is based in Raveningham in Norfolk. It holds the archives for some of the top 30 agencies including Ogilvy and Mather and JWT and major governing organisations of UK Brands.
The trust’s director Richard Powell OBE, introduced HAT and selections from its collection to reveal how the creative industries produce ads that are of the time and should be seen as such, but also how the industry and Brands re-think, re-models and uses its past successes to inspire more creative work.

Richard also explored subjects such as the changing role of men and women in advertising and how regulation has inspired more creative work.
