NN photo story: summer party at Wood Hall
-
For this year’s Norfolk Network summer party we had a special opportunity to visit the grade II listed Wood Hall, the official residence of the University’s Vice Chancellor since 1963. It’s now home to Professor David Richardson, the 9th VC.
-
Guests were unexpectedly greeted by a former lady of the Hall, aka Kindra Jones, performing historian and UEA graduate entrepreneur. She was inspired by one of David’s favourite pictures from the hall’s photo album.
-
David was a wonderful host and gave us an entertaining potted history of the hall and its colourful characters. We joined him for croquet, tours around the grounds and a look at his fabulous eclectic art collection.
-
The evening marked a decade of Norfolk Network working with the University to create opportunities for students to develop enterprising, entrepreneurial and employability skills. It was sad to say goodbye to this year’s student volunteers, but great to be with them as they celebrated their degree results.
-
There was bossa nova and jazz from guitarist Pat Falcate.
-
and impromptu playing from one guest.
-
We’ll have very happy memories of the evening.
